The All-Time NRL Top 100

Who are the best NRL players of all time? It’s the argument that never ends — so we built a data-driven answer. Every player who’s pulled on a premiership-club jersey is rated on a single 0–99 scale, and the 100 highest sit below: the greatest rugby league players ranked into one all-time list.

The rating is built from a player’s whole career, not a highlight reel. It blends production — games played, tries, goals and total points, measured per game and weighted for the era they played in — with peak reputation: Dally M Medals, State of Origin and Test caps, and Clive Churchill Medals. Halves, hookers and forwards lean more on reputation, because their impact never shows up in their own try tally; outside backs lean more on scoring. International caps are weighted by nation, and a handful of clear eye-test calls are applied on top — so the list matches the ratings you see in the game.

The result rewards sustained greatness over raw accumulation: an Immortal with three Dally Ms outranks a long-serving journeyman, and a one-club legend isn’t punished for loyalty. Cameron Smith, Andrew Johns, Billy Slater, Darren Lockyer and Johnathan Thurston headline the modern era; the all-time greats of every position fill out the hundred.
